Pastor Richard Rechichar came to the Hampton Roads Seventh-day Adventist Church in July of 2009. He and his wife Debbie moved here from Ohio after serving a church district there for almost 11 years. During his ministry Pastor Rechichar has also served churches in NC, Missouri and Iowa prior to his present assignment in the Hampton Roads and Chesapeake SDA Churches of the Potomac Conference.

Pastor Rechichar was born in southwestern Pennsylvania. He had been raised as a Roman Catholic but while attending college he encountered the Bible based teachings of the SDA church and was eventually baptized and became a member of the worldwide SDA church. A few years after his baptism he and Debbie were married and they moved to Michigan where he attended the SDA seminary at Andrews University. Pastor Rechichar obtained a Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University.
